Our International Mission and Projects
As part of our global expansion drive, WLI-Liberia has maintained temporal buildings and needs funds to reconstruct our worship centers at the first four rural mission stations using the same design to accommodate not less than 200 persons and construct school facilities. The present structures in the rural areas are temporary. If WLI is to continue its mission programs, we must erect permanent structures. Funds generated from church members in Liberia cannot construct permanent structure without a sustained support from generous Christians & Partners to undertake such projects. In addition, WLI will also need supports for programs areas including orphanage, agriculture, income generation, in addition to education health, water and sanitation. Youth and elderly programs are of necessity in this plan.
As Liberia emerges from 13 years of civil crisis, the women are preparing here to participate in the rebuilding of the nation as mothers and ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are asking all of you our partners to become a part of this worthwhile initiative by getting involved personally and or with your support. The women would like to promote productive womanhood by engaging in programs that will heal the nation and rehabilitate their children that have become orphans, teenage mothers and school drop-outs as the result of the war.
Highlights of current and ongoing projects
Students at Todee Mission: Most of these children do not know that they are orphans, eventhough many lost their parents during the war. WLI has taken care of these children through our Mission Fatherhood Program. Our vision is to build a boarding institution up to high school level to educate the many orphans in the area.
Pastor Joe Peters and the Muslim Converts at the Po-River Mission: WLI Po-River mission to the Muslims is reaching new heights.
Opening of Gbarnga Mission in 2002-Our mission is to reach the unreached: There are places with people that have not yet been reached, and there are also people in palces that have not been reached.
WLI Gbarnga Church members: As we reach out in these communities, God raises people for His work, and we together labor to enhance life. This is why you must join us.
WLI Gbarnga church and school building: We have built temporal structures like the one above, and have counitued to reach many. This means if you invest in this mission, you will be blessed by the tremendeous blessings many will receive through our services.
Word of Life School System, Gbarnga Branch: As we plan to phase out as adults in the future, we must develop our children to replace us. We are convinced that educating one child in the fear of the Lord will mean, creating a very stable generation for the advancement of the Gospel in Liberia.
